The Society of Aquatic Veterinary Medicine

The Society of Aquatic Veterinary Medicine (SAVM) is a non-profit organization dedicated to veterinary continuing education in small animal and aquatic medicine. SAVM organizes trips to exotic international locations where you will enjoy renowned continuing education speakers while having fun in the sun and studying aquatic medicine underwater using SCUBA gear. SAVM provides the attendance records and notes for IRS tax deduction.

 SAVM was started at an American Animal Hospital Association Meeting in 1976. Our membership is composed of veterinary practitioners from around the world. Examples of past continuing education speakers and their topics include "Exotic Animal Medicine" by Doug Mader D.V.M.; "Practice Management" by Mark Opperman and "FeLV Vaccine Studies " by Bill Hardy, Jr., D.V.M.. Scientists studying aquatic medicine locally also present their research at our seminars.
